WOCHN Team is excited to announce the successful deployment of a 12MW ground-mounted solar system in Tanzania, with the generated power distributed across several locations to support local energy demand. The project utilizes WOCHN’s in-house engineered back-to-back ground mount solution, marking another significant milestone for the company’s expansion in the African solar market.

Key Technical Features
• Back-to-back module layout for maximum land utilization
The system adopts an east–west back-to-back module configuration, enabling efficient use of land and capturing solar energy throughout the day. This layout enhances overall energy output and is particularly suitable for regions with high land value or limited available space.
• Robust structure designed for challenging environments
The mounting system is built with high-strength 6005-T5 aluminum, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. It supports both pile foundations and concrete bases, making it adaptable to diverse soil and terrain conditions across Tanzania.
• High self-consumption and stable generation
Installed at a 15° tilt angle. It is an ideal solution for areas with limited grid coverage or unstable electricity supply.
Project Significance
As global demand for clean energy accelerates, ground-mounted PV systems are becoming a preferred solution in emerging markets where land resources are abundant and grid reliability remains a challenge. The successful execution of this 150KW system demonstrates WOCHN’s capability to deliver efficient, reliable, and site-adaptable solar mounting solutions in Africa.
This project reinforces WOCHN’s position as a competitive and trusted supplier in the international solar mounting industry, while contributing to Tanzania’s ongoing transition toward renewable energy.
Looking Ahead
WOCHN will continue expanding its presence in Africa and by providing optimized, scalable, and cost-effective mounting solutions. Building on this project’s success, the company aims to support more communities with stable, sustainable solar power and help drive global clean energy development.
